REAL thunderstorms....

You haven't experienced a real thunderstorm until you live in oklahoma and wake up at 3 am to the piercing sound of thunder and the brightest lightning you've ever seen. That was me last night (or i should say this morning...) around 3 am. Denali was so freaked out he was scratching on our bedroom door almost about to knock it down! Shabon willingly got up and slept on the couch to keep him calm so i could try and sleep. Our bed faces the front yard and we have 2 big vertical windows on either side of our tv. So while I was trying to ignore everything...i couldn't help but look outside. I couldn't see much (since I was half asleep and the rain was poring like you wouldn't believe) but I was able to see the very dark silhouette of the big tree every time the lightning struck. It was scary. Needless to say it took awhile to fall back asleep and i'm really tired today. I hope all of you slept better last night than me and shabon...;-)

  1. Hi girl! In response to your comment on my blog... yes, I have thought about writing a book, ever since I was very young. But now that I have kids and a very busy life, my blog is my book. I will have it printed into a hard bouned book and then start over every year so that my children will have a hard copy of the photos and love letters and they will always know me. When I found out that you can have your blog printed like that is when I actually decided to start one.
I love you and I am glad that you enjoy reading my writing. I miss you so bad! Some days all I feel like I need is to have you around. I wish you knew my babies better and could watch them grow. I wish I could help you do things like paint your walls and pick out clothes and just hang out. I always miss you, always love you. Tell Shabon that I said hello and that I am sending my love, always!
    Emily
